Job summary

SAIC's Air Force, Space and Intelligence Business Group (AFSI BG) in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Program Financial Analyst for a large, multi-year space program. The role supports budget requests, EVM analysis, and funding coordination with government counterparts.

Qualifications

• Advanced MS Excel and financial analysis tools expertise.
• Advanced knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), focused on cost metrics (e.g., CPI).
• Effective interpersonal skills and communication; ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze monthly financial reports, invoices, and EVM reports to identify discrepancies against trending data.
• Coordinate with Program Managers to identify and resolve funding and invoicing discrepancies.
• Conduct what-if analysis to project cost implications of staffing, supplier delays, material cost growth, and scope changes.
• Analyze Basis of Estimates (BOE) for proposals to validate cost accounting and compare against historical estimating techniques.
• Track and report budget obligations and expenditures.
• Track and report funds run-out dates across multiple contracts.
• Proactively partner with Program Managers and Support Teams to address urgent gaps and resolve challenges that impact the Program.

SAIC's Air Force, Space and Intelligence Business Group (AFSI BG) is currently hiring to advance space capabilities supporting our Department of Defense (DOD) and Intelligence Community customers. Ten miles from the SAIC headquarters, our Chantilly, VA team supports systems acquisition & development, targeting & intelligence analysis, systems engineering & integration and more.

This position is for Program Financial Analyst for a large, multi-year contract supporting a cutting-edge and innovative space program. Be part of a highly effective and collaborative front office team responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of our staff and our program.

The Program Finance Analyst supports the Government program office team conducting budget requests and analyzing Developer execution. Position is integrated into the Govt-led Program Office team requiring full-time on-site work.

Role Responsibilities:
