Job description

Space is a warfighting domain. True Anomaly seeks those with the talent and ambition to build the technology that secures it.

OUR MISSION

True Anomaly delivers decisive capabilities for space superiority. We build autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors — enabling the U.S. and its Allies to secure the space environment and counter threats from the ultimate high ground.

OUR VALUES
  • Be the offset. We create asymmetric advantages with creativity and ingenuity.
  • What would it take? We challenge assumptions to deliver ambitious results.
  • It’s the people. Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together.
YOUR MISSION

True Anomaly's Finance team is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Program Finance Senior Analyst/Analyst to support the execution and financial health of our growing portfolio of space superiority programs. You'll work at the intersection of program management, operations, and finance, helping ensure our programs are delivered on cost, on schedule, and in line with customer and contractual requirements.

This is a hands‑on role with real visibility. You'll be a trusted financial partner to program managers and functional leaders, contributing directly to how we track, forecast, and report on program performance across a mix of government contract types.

What You’ll Do
  • Partner cross‑functionally with PMO, Supply Chain, and Operations to support planning, execution, and financial oversight of a portfolio of space control programs
  • Support the quarterly Estimate at Completion (EAC) process for customer‑funded programs in alignment with ASC 606 revenue recognition principles
  • Prepare cost and schedule performance reports for internal leadership and external customers; interface directly with customers when required
  • Build and maintain program financial models including budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and variance analyses
  • Monitor program financial performance against baseline, identifying and communicating key cost and schedule variances with clear, actionable insights
  • Support the development of program financial forecasts for executive leadership and the Board of Directors
  • Assist in managing the PMO risk and opportunity register to support successful program execution
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of program controls processes, tools, and reporting infrastructure
Required Qualifications
  • 3–6 years of finance experience in an aerospace, defense, or government contracting environment
  • Hands‑on experience with program financial management, including budgeting, EAC development, and variance analysis
  • Understanding of government contract structures (cost‑plus, FFP, T&M) and their financial management implications
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition and cost accounting fundamentals
  • Strong financial modeling skills in Excel, including Power Query and/or Power Pivot, and Power BI
  • Ability to communicate financial results and complex concepts clearly to program managers, functional leaders, and executives
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience preparing customer‑facing cost and schedule performance reports (e.g., CPR, IMS)
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and DCAA compliance requirements
  • Experience at an early‑stage or growth‑stage defense technology company
  • Familiarity with FP&A or program controls platforms
  • Curiosity about and openness to AI‑enabled tools that improve financial analysis, forecasting, or reporting workflows
COMPENSATION
  • Base Salary: $90,000 – $165,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job‑related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Work Location: We observe a hybrid work environment, and expect four days per week in office at the Company’s Denver, CO Headquarters or Long Beach, CA hub
  • Work environment: The work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
  • Physical demands: The physical demands of the job include bending, sitting, lifting and driving.

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
