Job summary

The Fountain Group is hiring a Finance Operations professional to support our Cybersecurity & Digital Risk Management (CDRM) portfolio. The role is based on-site in Reston, VA or Houston, TX, with an hourly pay rate of $35–$36 and a 13-month assignment with extension potential.

You will drive financial rigor, budget governance, and continuous improvement across the CDRM organization, ensuring spend is tracked, commitments are managed, and leaders have clear visibility into financial performance

Qualifications

• Finance Operations / Program Finance professional with 6–10 years of experience who has personally managed budgets and forecasts across multiple programs/vendors in a large technology organization.
• Own the financial mechanics — actuals, accruals, variances, SOW/PO/invoice spend — while acting as the business-facing person who keeps leaders, Finance, Procurement, and vendors accountable to the plan.
• Proven track record managing budgets, forecasts, vendor/SOW spend, and PO/invoice lifecycles in a large, matrixed organization.
• Strong command of budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel; comfort with financial systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba) and reporting/BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a track record of bringing order to complexity.
• Excellent stakeholder management — able to hold partners to commitments while helping them succeed.
• Clear, concise communicator who can translate financial detail into executive-ready insight.

Responsibilities

• Drive financial rigor across our growing Cybersecurity & Digital Risk Management (CDRM) organization and governance of budgets.
• Track actuals, accruals, variances, SOW/PO/invoice spend; keep leaders and vendors accountable to the plan.
• Collaborate with CDRM leaders, Finance, and Procurement to set expectations and monitor spend.
• Help leaders achieve visibility into financial performance, forecast, and outcomes.
