Job summary

invictusic is hiring a Program Finance Analyst in Alexandria, VA to lead budgets, forecasts, and cost control for DoD programs. You will partner with the PMO to ensure funding alignment and accurate cost tracking, while preparing analyses for PMRs and MORs.

The role requires 8+ years in project control or financial analysis in defense, with DoD contract experience and on-site work 3 days per week. A Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on project control or financial analysis in the defense industry.
• Experience supporting government DoD contracts.
• Expert in budgeting, forecasting, EAC/ETC, and reporting across Cost Plus, T&M, and Firm-Fixed-Price contracts.
• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude; strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze problems for root cause and implement corrective action.
• Must be onsite 3 days a week.
• TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Work with PMO to ensure cost control, funding alignment, open commits, material tracking, and schedule adherence.
• Set up procurement requests (PRs) with program and supply-chain teams.
• Partner with project teams to develop work breakdown structures for time charging and cost tracking.
• Support Program Monthly Reviews (PMRs) and Monthly Ops Reviews (MORs) and track trends/variances.
• Ability to work independently or with various organizational levels.
• Strong organization, analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Handle high data volume in a fast-paced environment.
• Support proposal pricing efforts and contract modifications.

• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, EACs, ETCs, and variance analyses, ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and internal financial policies
• Work closely with the PMO to ensure accurate cost control, funding alignment, open commits, material tracking and schedule adherence
• Set up procurement requests (PRs) in collaboration with the program and supply-chain teams
• Partner with project teams to develop work breakdown structures supporting accurate time charging and cost tracking
• Support Program Monthly Reviews (PMRs), Monthly Ops Reviews (MORs), tracking trends/variances
• Ability to work independently, or in a team environment and with various organizational levels
• Strong Organization, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle high volume of data in a fast paced, cyclical, and demanding work environment
• Support proposal pricing efforts and schedule inputs for re-pricing efforts and contract modifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field
• A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience project control or financial analysis experience in the defense industry
• Project Control and Financial Management experience supporting government contracts in DoD environments.
• Extensive expertise in project planning and control, budgeting, forecasting, EAC/ETC development, and financial reporting across Cost Plus, T&M, and Firm-Fixed-Price contracts
• Must be self-motivated with a can-do attitude; strong problem-solving skills a must
• Ability to analyze problems for root cause and implement corrective action
• Must be committed to customer service, be well organized, be able to plan and prioritize assignments, and be able to successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of financial systems and applications such as OBI, Cognos, PowerBI, Fusion, CostPoint, UNANET preferred
• Must be onsite 3 days a week
• TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
