Job summary

Feed My Starving Children in Eagan, MN is seeking a part-time Program Facilitator to welcome volunteers, deliver engaging presentations about the organization’s mission, and help maintain a smooth, efficient packing and meal assembly workflow.

You’ll work evenings and Saturdays on a weekly schedule, lift up to 50 lbs, assist with warehousing tasks, and participate in a faith-inspired team focused on service, teamwork, and compassion.

• Strong interpersonal skills to engage diverse volunteers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality to volunteers and give clear instructions.
• Deliver engaging large-group presentations introducing FMSC's mission and procedures.
• Perform warehousing tasks and assist with packing sessions to ensure smooth workflow.
• Lead a Christian prayer over packed meals as appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, food-safe facility and assist with general cleaning.
• Contribute energy and teamwork in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

• Program Facilitators are offered consistent weekly schedules, including at least one evening shift during the week and an every other Saturday shift.

The day to day:

• Provide exceptional hospitality to our volunteers: warmly greet, answer questions, provide clear instructions, address concerns and show genuine appreciation!
• Deliver polished, engaging large-group presentations introducing volunteers to FMSC's mission, impact, and food production procedures, while encouraging further contribution.
• Perform warehousing tasks:
  • Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend and reach during (6-8 hour) shifts
  • Lift 30-50 lbs. repeatedly
  • Use hand tools, like utility knives
  • Move heavy inventory using a pallet jack (we'll provide training)
• Ensure packing sessions run smoothly from the flow of people and materials, to tracking meal production.
• Lead a Christian prayer over packed meals, inviting volunteers to join in if they'd like. Prayer is an essential part of what we do!
• Maintain a clean, food-safe facility. Do laundry, wash dishes and clean floors, surfaces and bathrooms.
• Finally, Program Facilitators have high energy and a tendency to fill in the gaps in a fast-paced, team environment.
