Job summary

Augusta University’s School of Public Health invites applications for an Open Rank Faculty Position in Community and Behavioral Health Sciences. The successful candidate will serve as Program Director of an undergraduate program and will be appointed at Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, with tenure-track eligibility based on background and record.

The role focuses on teaching (85%), scholarship (10%), and service (5%), leading curriculum development, student success

Qualifications

• Earned doctoral degree in public health or a public health discipline.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
• At least 2 years experience teaching undergraduate coursework in public health or a public health discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, administration, and oversight for the School of Public Health's undergraduate academic program.
• Teach undergraduate courses as assigned.
• Lead curriculum planning, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement activities.
• Coordinate program operations, course scheduling, and student success initiatives.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and university leadership to support program goals and strategic priorities.
• Support accreditation, assessment, and reporting activities as applicable. Advise and mentor undergraduate students.
• Participate in research and scholarly activities, including collaborative projects, publications, presentations, and grant-related efforts.
• Provide service to the School, department, and community through participation in faculty meetings, committees, professional organizations, and community engagement activities.
