The role emphasizes accreditation compliance, student success, and timely outcomes while coordinating curriculum, advisory committees, and budget responsibilities. Teaching may be required to support accreditation guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (in any field) and an Associate Degree in Medical Sonography.
• Must hold RDMS with OIB/GYN and AB specialties; RDCS with AE specialty.
• RCIS, RCCS, and RCS credentials also required.
• Minimum four years full-time experience as a general sonographer or vascular technologist.
• Coursework in instructional methodologies, evaluation, and assessment; curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory, strategic and operational leadership for all program faculty and staff.
• Ensure academic quality, instructional effectiveness, and student satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with accreditation standards and site visits.
• Oversee advisory committee meetings, annual reports, self-studies, and site visits.
• Monitor and drive completion, licensure, and placement outcomes.
• Review curriculum and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Teach courses as needed per accreditor guidelines.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and develop program faculty.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide performance feedback.
• Ensure faculty CEU compliance and maintain files.
• Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture.
• Recognize and reward faculty contributions.
• Advise, mentor, and support students; assist with orientation and graduation.
• Promote engaging learning environment and campus/community events.
• Ensure department safety, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and meetings.
