The Family Place in Dallas, TX invites applications for a Program Director, Clinical Services. This leadership role oversees clinical programs serving survivors of domestic violence, directing staff, and ensuring high-quality, evidence-based services across Dallas County.

You will supervise clinicians and practicum students, coordinate with the Sr. Director of Non-Residential Services, and drive training, documentation accuracy, and policy development to improve client outcomes.

Position Summary:

The Program Director, Clinical Services provides critical oversight and leadership, serving both the SDCC and CDCC, directing clinical programs that serve thousands of survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault annually, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic and supportive services across Dallas County.

The position supervises clinicians and college graduates pursuing their Master's in Counseling, LPC tract. You will provide day-to-day supervision, training, and coaching, and collaborate with the Sr. Director of Non-Residential on client service delivery and ensure 100% accuracy in client documentation and database management.

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Supervision & Operations

• Provide day-to-day supervision of clinicians and practicum students, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic services.
• Ensure Non-Residential Case Managers complete client intakes and documentation in a timely manner.
• Review database daily to ensure 100% accuracy regarding client case management services
• Manage concerns relating to scheduling and/or client grievances
• Work with the Operations Team to ensure Non-Residential Case Managers are properly trained on safety cameras, client entrance protocols, and all safety protocols for entering the building.

Staff Training & Development

• Ensure new staff members have a smooth, informative, and productive onboarding process during their first year of employment by providing orientation, mentoring, coaching, and training; send feedback surveys to new staff throughout their first year to capture their orientation experience.
• Encourage staff development and education; facilitate ongoing monthly training to Non-Residential Case Managers on domestic violence issues, intake procedures, crisis intervention and de-escalation, etc., and monitor regularly to ensure staff maintain professional knowledge.

Administration & Program Support

• Ensure coordination of communication with staff and clients to enhance services.
• Facilitate weekly individual supervision and monthly team meetings; monitor the effectiveness of services being provided.
• Attend weekly supervision and team meetings with Program Directors.
• Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Non-Residential Services regarding client service delivery and assist with monitoring program
• Interview and screen potential staff for open Non-Residential Case Managers
• Administer annual and mid-year employee evaluations; provide coaching and performance feedback to members of the team
• Work with the Sr. Director of Non-Residential Services in addressing employee disciplinary notices, performance improvement plans, etc.
• In collaboration with the Sr. Director of Residential Services and Program Directors, create and implement policies and procedures for Non-Residential Case Managers.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of client supplies and assist in securing in‑kind donations.

Professional Development

• Collaborate with Human Resources to design and implement training programs that meet the evolving needs of clinical staff.
• Participate in weekly, monthly, and annual employee meetings and agency‑wide trainings.
• Maintain current professional knowledge of crisis intervention, trauma therapy, and domestic violence advocacy.
• Stay informed on community resources, funding opportunities, and policy developments affecting domestic violence services.
• Represent The Family Place in professional networks, coalitions, and industry leadership forums.
• Attend agency‑provided professional development courses relating to domestic violence and business acumen.

Other Duties

• Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling.
• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of management experience in the field of domestic violence. Must possess strong management, collaboration, communication, and planning skills.

Licenses and Certifications

• LPC‑S or LCSW‑S required
• Valid Texas Driver’s License

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence, childhood sexual abuse, incest recovery, and related issues.
• Excellent clinical and supervisory skills.
• Knowledge of, and ability to, apply counseling and diagnostic theories and techniques to a full range of diverse client populations.
• Ability to maintain current professional knowledge of crisis intervention and counseling for domestic violence victims; keeps up‑to‑date information for community resources available to clients.
• Capacity to rotate and office at each counseling center throughout the week
• Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and oral) are required.
• Skilled at maintaining a climate that attracts, keeps, and motivates a diverse staff of top‑quality people.
• Passion for the mission and philosophy of The Family Place, along with the knowledge of the agency’s history, culture, identity, and goals.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to perform work efficiently and effectively under stressful situations.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Mental and Physical Duties

Duties are usually performed seated with occasional periods of standing or walking. Limited physical effort is required associated with lifting and carrying objects (less than 25 lbs).

Working Conditions

Work must be performed on‑site and in an office‑like setting. Ability to work some weekends and evening hours on occasion.

Essential employees are required to report for all scheduled hours regardless of inclement weather, holidays, or facility closures unless explicitly notified otherwise by leadership. This includes all employees assigned to shelter locations or designated as residential staff.
