Job summary

The Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences (CASBS) at Stanford University seeks a Program Director to administer multi-year initiatives. Reporting to the Faculty Director, you will manage programs, budgets, and outreach, and identify new research opportunities in behavioral and social sciences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
• Advanced degree may be required for some programs.
• Ability to develop program partnerships and funding sources.
• Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills.
• Ability to oversee and direct staff and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage programs by conducting research activities and coordinating resources.
• Identify, recommend and implement opportunities for new research.
• Source, collect and analyze data, create reports and explain trends.
• Teach and assist in teaching and administration of courses; develop curriculum.
• Write and/or edit complex content for proposals and grants; publish with funders.
• Develop outreach strategy related to program communications, development, partnerships.
• Coach and mentor program staff and manage team workloads.
