Job summary

Merakey seeks a Program Director for our Wilkes-Barre, PA location. The role leads a collaborative, value-driven team, guiding staff with mentoring and motivation while ensuring policy compliance and program performance. Salary starts at $62,000 annually, with pay aligned to licensure/experience and mileage reimbursement.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's in a related field, PA licensure, and 2+ years in mental health and disability services, plus 2+ years managing programs.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in psychology, counseling, or another health and human service-related field.
• Licensed in PA as LMFT, LSW, LCSW, LPC, or LBS.
• Two years of experience in a mental health setting.
• Two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• At least two years of program management experience.

Responsibilities

• Developing a collaborative work environment in support of Merakey’s Core Values.
• Providing guidance, mentoring, feedback, and motivation to staff.
• Ensuring compliance with state, local, federal, and contract requirements.
• Overseeing the program's profit and loss and daily operations.
• Maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Position Details

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Experience in the behavioral health field with:

  • Two years working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Possess at least two years of program management experience required.
