Job summary

Company Overview

Program Director / Manager Overview

The Program Director or Program Manager is responsible for the management and strategic growth of the Wound Care Program for the assigned area of responsibility. This position oversees the complete operation of the Wound Care Center, including day‑to‑day operations, staff and financial management, quality and performance improvement, and community education. The role also maintains collaborative client relationships within and outside the hospital organization.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities
Center Operations (20%)

Oversees day‑to‑day management of outpatient clinics and wound continuum programs, continuously assesses clinic flows, identifies improvement areas, and implements best practices to improve outcomes. Works with hospital and company personnel to ensure availability of adequate resources, supplies, equipment, and services. Facilitates information flow and maximizes effective communication throughout the program. Prioritizes responsibilities and directs clinical and non‑clinical staff. Collaborates with other health care providers, wound care center providers, and medical directors to meet clinic and patient needs. Manages direct reports in partnership with HR departments, including interviewing, hiring, coaching, and performance reviews.

Financial Management (10%)

Manages and coordinates all aspects of the revenue cycle for Healogics and the hospital partner. Stays current with reimbursement changes, provides updates and education to physicians and staff. Reviews financial reports, identifies trends, and develops plans to ensure fiscal responsibility. Tracks and reports all ancillary revenues, manages costs, and presents results to hospital leadership.

Community Education / Marketing Functions (40%)

Works directly with the hospital and Healogics marketing departments to establish strategic marketing plans and coordinate referral activities. Builds relationships with target referral sources, maintains a physician practice list, and conducts visits with key physicians to promote the center. Documents interactions in the CRM system and communicates regularly with leadership about goals and referral development.

Quality / Performance Improvement Functions (10%)

Implements continuous performance improvement program and strives to meet quality indicators. Integrates the program into the partner hospital’s PIP program, participates in committees, ensures accurate documentation, and monitors patient and provider satisfaction. Ensures patient safety guidelines are followed and promotes compliance.

Relationships (15%)

Maintains excellent relationships with hospital clients, aligns program goals with hospital objectives, participates in departmental and management meetings, and builds effective relationships with physicians and staff. Encourages patient service excellence and meets regularly with hospital leadership.

Required Education, Experience and Credentials
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field plus 1 year of marketing/community education in healthcare or clinical operations experience.
  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field plus 2 or more years of marketing/community education in healthcare or clinical operations experience.
  • High School Diploma plus 4 or more years of marketing/community education in healthcare or clinical operations experience.
  • Management experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of regulatory/accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Physical Demands

Salary

The salary for this position generally ranges between $88,400.00 and $116,400.00 annually, based on qualifications, experience, geography and operational needs.
