Brians House Incorporated is seeking a Program Director to supervise residential program staff and oversee daily activities across multiple sites. You will coordinate assessments, develop program plans, and ensure adherence to IPP and policy while collaborating with Medical/Nursing teams and licensing bodies.

The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s in a relevant field with hands-on experience in intellectual developmental disabilities, strong administrative skills, and proficiency with EHRs

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or above from an accredited college; one year experience with intellectual developmental disabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree and two years experience with intellectual developmental disabilities.
  • Associate's degree plus four years experience with intellectual developmental disabilities.
  • Combination of scholastic and professional qualifications plus strong references.

Responsibilities

  • Direct ongoing supervision of the Program Supervisor(s) and residential staff.
  • Plan, organize and oversee daily activities for individuals at designated sites.
  • Attend and document meetings with service professionals; coordinate individual programming.
  • Complete training in Carelogic; navigate census, program and medical documentation.
  • Coordinate completion of individual assessments and development/review of program plans.
  • Develop and implement planned program activities; ensure IPP's are followed.

TITLE: PROGRAM DIRECTORREPORTS TO: Assistant Residential Program DirectorSummary of OccupationThis position is considered professional and supervisory in nature. A Program Director monitors and directs the staff and activities associated with one or more residential programs for mentally and/or physically disabled individuals. Work is performed under the direction of the Assistant Residential Program Director from which the Program Director receives guidance and supervision.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:1. Direct ongoing supervision of the Program Supervisor(s) and residential staff.2. Planning, organizing and overseeing daily activities for individuals at designated residential sites.3. Attending or charting appropriate in-house and out-of-house meetings with relevant service professionals to coordinate individual programming planning and activities and relay necessary information to staff, (i.e., IPPs, IWPPs, PT, OT, Speech Therapy, etc.)4. Complete training of Carelogic and be able to navigate with ease census, program and medical documentation, adding staff, deleting notes on a timely basis4. Coordination of completion of individual assessments.5. Coordination of development and review of individual program plans.6. Development of planned program activities.7. Ensuring the implementation of IPP's and program activities.8. Meets regularly with Residential Director to review programmatic and budgetary matters.9. Reviews and ensures resident accounts and program petty cash are managed correctly and according to policy.10. Conduct staff training and monitor all other staff training.11. Conduct staff/resident investigations.12. Conduct intake referral interviews.13. Coordination of all medical needs with Medical Coordinator/Nurse Manager.14. Completing forms and paperwork as required for programs, licensing bodies, and personnel issues, on a timely basis.15. Submitting reports and personnel forms or written information to the appropriate department on a timely basis.16. Monitoring the proper completion of individual and program inventories.17. Ensuring the daily upkeep and maintenance of the physical site in accordance with licensing body specifications.18. Monitoring and reporting program site maintenance needs on a timely basis.19. Ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of company vehicles.20. Responding appropriately to on-call during specified segments of time, as assigned.21. Develops and implements permanent program work schedules (slots) of designated programs.22 Reviews and approves recorded work hours on Kronos for all assigned staff and monitors the use of overtime.23. Implementation of disciplinary policy for all program staff within designated programs in conjunction with Human Resources.24. Interviewing applicants, as needed, and approving/disapproving new employees to work in designated program sites.25. Evaluating staff performance on an ongoing basis and recommending commendation or disciplinary action, as appropriate.26. Coordination or completion of yearly evaluations for all program staff.27. Performing other responsibilities or designated special projects as directed by the Residential Director and or CEO.Required Knowledge, Skill, and AbilityExperience working with different software databases related but not limited to Electronic Health Records (EHR -Care logic), Incident management (HCSIS), Time keeping (Kronos) and Staff training (Relias) is a plus.Ability to work cooperatively and strategically in a team environment with all levels of professionals.Ability to effectively and efficiently manage several residential group homes in accordance to the 6400 regulations and stipulated organizational policies and procedures.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to exercise sound independent judgment.Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills and time management skills.Extensive knowledge of the 6400 regulations and of the protocols of the intellectual developmental disability service system.Ability to verbally communicate effectively with individuals, employers, business owners, staff and professional agencies in order to maintain efficient operation of agency business.Ability to be flexible and respond effectively to emergency situations or changing circumstances as needed.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.Able to read, write, follow verbal and written directions, prepare written and electronic reports on a daily basis, complete written and electronic forms in English.Qualifications1. Master's degree or above from an accredited college or university and one year work experience working directly with persons with intellectual developmental disabilities. OR2. Bachelors’ degree from an accredited college or university and two years work experience working directly with persons with intellectual developmental disabilities. OR3. An Associate's degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and four years work experience working directly with persons with intellectual developmental disabilities.4. An appropriate combination of scholastic and professional qualifications plus significant references to profile a candidate appropriately for the position.
