D&S Community Services, part of the Sevita family, is seeking a Program Director for IDD Services in Abilene, TX. Starting salary is $46,000.

The role oversees 1–4 programs, directs direct supports, planning, healthcare, advocacy, regulatory compliance, staffing, and financial management, with on-call duty. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field.
• 2–3 years of related experience in the Human Services industry.
• State requirements or regulations; valid driver's license and insurance as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of 1–4 programs, including direct supports, person-centered planning, health care, advocacy, regulatory compliance, staff recruitment and retention, scheduling, and financial management.
• Supervise program staff including performance evaluations and orientation.
• Make recommendations on hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective actions, and terminations.
• Oversee program planning; monitor service delivery to ensure engaging and relevant supports for individuals served.
• Remain on-call to support staff and cover shifts as needed.

Program Director, IDD Services

Location: Abilene, TX
Starting Salary: $46,000
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm (with on-call)

Your Role

• Manage the day-to-day operations of one to four programs in a community including organization and implementation of direct supports, person-centered planning, and implementation, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment.
• Manage program staff members including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation.
• Make recommendations and/or decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations.
• Manage the implementation of program planning; monitor delivery of services and supports; ensure services are consistent, engaging, and relevant to the individuals served.
• Must be available on-call to support staff, find coverage or cover shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two to three years of related experience in the Human Services Industry preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Other education, experience, training, licensure, or certification per state requirements or as required by applicable regulations.
• Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to manage relationships.
• A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach.
