Job description

As a Program Development Manager, you will drive the growth and adoption of innovative image-guided treatment programs across an assigned territory. In this quota‑carrying sales role, you will develop strategic relationships with clinicians, hospital administrators, and referral partners to expand the use of an advanced prostate tissue ablation procedure. You will transform existing hospital accounts into successful clinical programs by developing clinical champions, strengthening patient referral pathways, and securing institutional commitment. Working closely with capital sales and clinical teams, you will identify growth opportunities, overcome operational barriers, and increase procedure volumes. You will also lead strategic business reviews, monitor account performance, and translate clinical and economic value into sustainable program expansion. This is an opportunity to combine medical technology sales expertise, strategic account development, and clinical engagement while contributing to advancements in patient care.

Accountabilities
Responsibilities
  • Territory and Revenue Growth: Achieve individual sales quotas by increasing procedure volumes across assigned accounts and the overall territory. Develop and execute written growth plans for every installed account.
  • Clinical Champion Development: Identify, engage, and develop new and existing users into clinical champions who actively promote the adoption of the TULSA-PRO procedure for appropriate patients.
  • Clinical Program Development: Build and expand clinical programs within hospitals by securing stakeholder commitment, gaining institutional priority, and ensuring access to the resources required for sustainable growth.
  • Referral Network Expansion: Strengthen referral networks and patient pathways within each account to increase awareness, patient access, and procedure utilization.
  • Strategic Account Management: Build relationships with clinicians, hospital administrators, and referral sources to align clinical and organizational objectives and support long‑term program development.
  • Quarterly Business Reviews: Lead quarterly business reviews with priority accounts, delivering clinical and economic presentations that demonstrate program value and secure measurable stakeholder commitments.
  • Growth Barriers and Objection Management: Identify, assess, and resolve clinical, operational, and commercial obstacles that may limit program adoption or procedure growth.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Capital Sales Executives and Clinical Scientists across shared accounts, supporting the transition from initial product launch to program expansion and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Performance Tracking and Forecasting: Monitor procedure volumes, account development, new user adoption, and territory performance. Maintain accurate CRM records and provide reliable sales forecasts.
  • Market Representation: Represent the clinical program at marketing events, executive meetings, and professional presentations, communicating its clinical and economic value to relevant stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, the AdvaMed Code of Ethics, internal standard operating procedures, and organizational policies.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of medical device sales experience, with a documented history of consistently achieving sales quotas.
  • Proven success increasing procedure volumes or product utilization within existing hospital accounts, supported by measurable results, sales rankings, or industry awards.
  • Experience selling capital equipment alongside procedure‑based solutions, particularly in robotics, image‑guided therapies, or other innovative medical technologies.
  • A demonstrated record of high sales performance, ideally including Top 10% rankings, President's Club recognition, Rep of the Year, or Rookie of the Year awards.
  • Experience establishing and expanding strategic clinical service lines involving robotics, novel therapies, or image‑guided treatment technologies in both new and existing hospital environments.
  • Previous sales leadership experience in the medical technology sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Class II and Class III medical devices is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of clinical environments involving urology, radiology, or oncology is preferred.
  • Experience engaging hospital executives, administrators, and integrated delivery networks (IDNs) or broader health systems.
  • Strong clinical and technical knowledge, including anatomy, product expertise, and the ability to communicate complex procedures effectively.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to influence clinical and administrative stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of hospital economics, including the ability to connect clinical program development with institutional priorities.
  • Proven territory management, strategic planning, sales execution, and forecasting capabilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to meet hospital vendor credentialing requirements and comply with safety protocols when working in MRI environments.
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory and to be based near a major airport.
Benefits
  • Full‑time, remote work arrangement.
  • Location flexibility for candidates based in the United States, provided they are located near a major airport.
  • Opportunity to work with innovative medical technology combining real‑time MRI, thermal ultrasound, and closed‑loop temperature feedback.
  • Exposure to advanced treatment approaches designed to improve clinical precision and patient outcomes.
  • Opportunity to build strategic relationships with leading clinicians, hospital administrators, and healthcare organizations.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration with experienced sales and clinical specialists.
  • Opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative clinical programs and the evolution of treatment options for conditions such as prostate cancer.
  • A collaborative, results‑oriented environment focused on innovation, professional growth, and meaningful impact in healthcare.
