Job summary

Georgetown University seeks a senior program leader to drive the Georgetown West initiative, expanding academic programming and strategic partnerships across the Silicon Valley academic ecosystem. You will collaborate with faculty, university leadership, alumni, donors, corporate partners, and Bay Area stakeholders to establish a regional academic hub.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years in higher education program development, student services, or academic administration.
  • Experience building partnerships within the technology sector preferred.
  • Strong track record driving action and managing multiple concurrent initiatives on fixed timelines.
  • Proficiency with project management platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity.
  • Ability to proactively solve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of the Georgetown West initiative.
  • Establish a permanent Georgetown presence in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Advance academic programming, strategic partnerships, operational planning, and community engagement connected to the Silicon Valley AI and technology ecosystem.
  • Work with faculty, university leadership, alumni, donors, corporate partners, and Bay Area stakeholders.
  • Coordinate workstreams to grow Georgetown West into a comprehensive regional academic hub.
  • Guide academic program development, student life planning, facilities and operational readiness, and external engagement.
  • Support new domestic and international program development across the McDonough School of Business.
  • Advance academic innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with university, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage alumni, donors, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research and strategic analysis.
  • Support regulatory, accreditation, and compliance activities.
  • Manage the Georgetown West initiative and interact with McDonough faculty and staff, Main Campus administrators, external networks, and regulatory agencies.
