Who we are looking for

We are seeking a business leader with substantial commercial and operational experience who will own the complete lifecycle of large-scale programs ($10MM-$25MM+ annual revenue). The ideal candidate has proven experience managing complex engineering and manufacturing programs at multiple sites. They build relationships with customers and internal collaborators by showing results. They can influence and coordinate resources across organizational boundaries without direct authority. You should be comfortable making high-stakes decisions with incomplete information, navigating challenging customer situations, and building cohesive teams from diverse company resources.

What you get to do

The Program Delivery Director is responsible for owning and delivering complex, multi-site programmatic work aligned to a strategic customer. This role exists to ensure successful execution of engineering and production programs from concept through scaled manufacturing, managing complete P&L accountability and driving customer satisfaction. This position has full authority to direct dedicated program resources and coordinate across all Re:Build operating sites, and is accountable for program profitability, schedule performance, quality outcomes, and long-term customer relationships that protect and enable Re:Build's programmatic revenue growth.

This position differs from traditional program management in that it requires business ownership and general management capabilities rather than project management. The Program Delivery Director runs the business management of a program, making tradeoff decisions, solving problems independently, and taking complete ownership of outcomes.

  • Own complete program P&L - Manage all aspects of program financial performance including pricing, budgeting, cost control, and profitability from initial quote through production at scale
  • Lead Integrated Program Leadership Team (IPLT) - Direct and coordinate Chief Program Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering Leader, Supply Chain Leader, Finance Leader, and Commercial Leader to ensure aligned execution
  • Direct dedicated program resources - Manage designated resources from member companies during program assignments; manage their time and priorities during program execution
  • Drive customer relationships - Serve as primary contact point and strategic collaborator with customers, particularly during blocking issues or critical decision points; navigate complex customer dynamics effectively
  • Coordinate multi-site execution - Manage program activities across Re:Build operating sites, ensuring seamless coordination and eliminating friction between organizations
  • Manage design-to-production transitions - Own the complete process from engineering through prototype, LRIP, and volume manufacturing, ensuring Manufacturing-Constrained Design (MCD) principles are applied
  • Execute stage-gate processes - Drive programs through established gates (concept, design review, detailed design freeze, prototype validation, pilot run, production launch, post-launch review) with appropriate decision authority
  • Resource planning and forecasting - Provide accurate forecasts of upcoming resource needs to Re:Build Services Resourcing Group; solidify engineer assignments for programs going under PO
  • Identify and solve problems independently - Look for solutions to barriers preventing program success; make decisions and take action without waiting for direction
  • Build and lead high-performing teams - Create urgency and accountability within program teams; develop coherent team culture across distributed resources
  • Manage supply chain development - Oversee development of external supplier relationships, capacity assessment, and contract negotiations in coordination with Supply Chain Leader
What you bring to the Team

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, or a related field is required. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred. The candidate should have 8-15+ years of progressive experience in program management, operations, or business leadership roles. Proven track record managing P&Ls of $10-$25MM+ and coordinating complex activities across multiple locations or business units. Hands-on experience taking products from engineering through production at scale. Strong customer-facing skills with ability to navigate executive-level relationships. Experience in aerospace, defense, contract manufacturing, or similar high-reliability industries strongly preferred.

  • Experience with P&L responsibility for business units or programs of $10MM+ annual revenue
  • Demonstrated success in customer-facing roles with demanding technical customers
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, industrial manufacturing, or related industries preferred
  • Project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
  • ERP systems (NetSuite or similar manufacturing ERP platforms)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel financial modeling, PowerPoint for executive presentations)
  • Collaboration tools (Teams, Slack, SharePoint)
  • CAD/PLM systems familiarity (SolidWorks, PDM systems)
