Job Summary:

TCU Global supports all undergraduate student programs abroad and away, as well as graduate students, faculty, and staff engaged in international experiences. TCU Global Program Coordinators serve as the first contact for students going abroad. They are responsible for providing student-centric, professional, and engaged advising to support student success. Program coordinators are committed to assisting students in identifying opportunities for study abroad while fulfilling their graduation requirements and achieving career, personal, and educational goals. Program coordinators work directly with students, faculty, departments, and schools to ensure that the undergraduate courses offered abroad are approved for TCU credit.
The Program Coordinator provides the necessary administrative support to all TCU Global programs. The position coordinates pre-departure preparations including orientations; advises students; manages departmental marketing; promotes the various programs while working in collaboration with partners abroad; supports students, parents and other stakeholders when critical situations develop; conducts overseas site visits as necessary for program orientations, in conjunction with TCU Global staff supervision.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1) Acts as an advisor for TCU Global programs, including semester, summer, and faculty-led. This includes creating advising calendars, curating online advising content, updating the TCU Calendar, and advising students on the various programs offered.
2) Coordinates and manages events and presentations, including: information sessions, tabling events, TCU Admission events, classroom presentation requests, TCU Orientation, pre-departure mixers, and reentry receptions, among others. Assist with the Study Abroad Fair and any other TCU Global initiatives.
3) Manages TCU Global marketing, which includes: creating a social media calendar, organizing a TCU Global brand kit, creating content for webpage/printed brochures/Instagram/advertisements/tabling events/etc., managing the Social Media Ambassadors, among other things.
4) Serves as the staff advisor for the TCU Global Ambassadors student organization.
5) Assists with the development and coordination of TCU's global learning initiatives through pre-departure orientations.
6) Performs partner institution visitations for on-site orientations for programs. These visits may include program evaluation.
7) Assists appropriate TCU Global staff with reviewing current application materials for relevance, program requirements, and accessible design.
8) Using attendance statistics and feedback surveys, evaluates popularity of programs and makes recommendations to the Director regarding improvements, new opportunities, or ways to address student concerns.
9) Works with TCU Global team to evaluate accessibility of programs and representation of student diversity abroad and to supports study abroad accessibility efforts through financial advising, cross-departmental collaboration, and peer-to-peer outreach
10) Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years relevant work experience in international programs or in a higher education environment with responsibilities in program development or program administration

OR

• Master's degree and 1 year relevant work experience in international programs or in a higher education environment with responsibilities in program development or program administration

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Doctorate degree in higher education or relevant discipline
• 3-5 years of experience in international programming or relevant field in higher education.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations):

• Ability to manage the physical requirements associated with domestic and international travel which may include lifting heavy luggage, climbing multiple flights of steps, walking long distances, and lengthy flights.
• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
• Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
• Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
• Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.

Work Environment:

• Irregular and long work hours may be expected when navigating incident response or during business-related travel.
• Ability to readily meet domestic and international travel requirements. This may include compliance with local or third-party health and safety protocols and/or meeting entry and exit requirements to international locations, among other requirements.
• Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• This role is an on campus, in-person position, but includes some travel.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
