The Department of Educational Administration & Human Resource Development (EAHR) seeks a creative and strategic Program Coordinator - Social Media to lead the planning, development, and execution of its digital communication efforts. The ideal candidate will create engaging, accessible, and brand-aligned content that strengthens the department’s audience engagement while showcasing the impact of its graduate programs. They will use analytics and performance metrics to inform content strategy, continuously improve results, and develop targeted digital campaigns that support graduate student recruitment. This individual thrives in a collaborative environment, partnering with cross-functional teams to tell compelling stories across multiple platforms. Experience supporting graduate student recruitment and the ability to design and execute recruitment-focused marketing campaigns are highly valued. The successful candidate can translate academic excellence into engaging digital narratives that advance recruitment, community engagement, and institutional branding goals.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Two years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree.

Strong writing and editing skills.

Proven ability to manage social media platforms like: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Faculty, staff, students, and leadership).

Experience supporting graduate student recruitment.

Ability to design and execute targeted recruitment campaigns for graduate programs.

Experience promoting graduate programs (MS, Med, EdD, PhD, etc.).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Verbal and written communication skills.

Develop, implement, and continuously refine a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with departmental and college‑level goals.

Plan and execute social media campaigns across multiple platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube).

Ensure alignment between social media initiatives and institutional priorities, values, and messaging.

Identify opportunities to enhance brand awareness, audience engagement, and public perception.

Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and platform updates to maintain a competitive and innovative digital presence.

Content Development & Editorial Management

Create, write, edit, and publish engaging daily content, including text, graphics, and video.

Develop content that promotes:

Ensure all content meets high standards for clarity, accuracy, accessibility, and audience relevance.

Adapt messaging for platform‑specific audiences while maintaining a consistent voice and tone.

Moderate user‑generated content and ensure appropriateness and alignment with institutional standards.

Visual Design & Multimedia Production

Design digital graphics using Texas A&M-branded templates and visual identity guidelines.

Produce and edit multimedia content, including short‑form videos and promotional materials.

Capture and curate photography to support storytelling and enhance engagement.

Ensure all visual content aligns with branding, accessibility, and usability standards.

Engagement & Community Management

Monitor audience engagement, comments, and interactions across platforms.

Respond to inquiries and engage with users in a timely, professional manner.

Foster an interactive online community.

Encourage participation through strategic engagement techniques, campaigns, and storytelling.

Analytics, KPIs & Performance Optimization

Define, track, and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns.

Measure success using analytics tools (e.g., platform insights, Google Analytics).

Prepare regular performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations.

Optimize content strategies based on data‑driven decision‑making.

Maintain and improve engagement metrics (e.g., demonstrated growth of 50%-100%)..

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with faculty, instructors, administrators, and external partners to gather and develop content.

Work closely with the CEHD communications and marketing team to ensure alignment with college‑wide strategies.

Coordinate messaging across departments to maintain consistency and effectiveness.

Support stakeholders by providing guidance on digital communication and social media best practices.

Campaigns, Events & Promotions

Develop and execute promotional strategies for events, recruitment initiatives, and departmental programs.

Create and coordinate digital and print materials for events, retreats, and strategic meetings.

Provide real‑time or near‑real‑time coverage of events when appropriate.

Editorial Planning & Workflow Management

Develop and maintain editorial calendars and content syndication schedules.

Standardize workflows, templates, and content development processes.

Improve efficiency, consistency, and quality across all communication outputs.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Technical & Digital Communication Support

Provide support for digital tools, social media platforms, and communication technologies.

Assist faculty and staff with content development, formatting, and digital communication needs.

Implement technical improvements to enhance usability, accessibility, and reach of content.
