Hebrew SeniorLife is seeking a Program Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and implement programs for residents across intellectual, social, spiritual, and physical needs. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4-5 years of commensurate experience; Master’s degree preferable.
  • Extensive cultural exposure through art, music and science.
  • Willingness to learn Jewish culture and traditions.
  • Available for weekends, holidays and evenings.
  • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to innovate and think strategically and conceptually.
  • Professional and collaborative demeanor.
  • Computer literacy with Windows, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously adapt programs to changes in cognitive or physical abilities.
  • Plan and lead various outings; research and coordinate activities.
  • Contribute to move-in and welcoming processes and care plan meetings as assigned.
  • Create daily schedules and monthly program calendars; manage administrative tasks.
  • Support residents in achieving life and wellness goals; engage with families.
  • Follow through on program goals and objectives; adjust as needed.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned; adapt to venue or schedule changes.

Job Description:Weekly Schedule is Tuesday-Saturday 9:00am-5:30pmPosition SummaryThe Program Coordinator will:Support Program Manager and programming team in planning, coordinating and implementing programs and events to meet intellectual, social, spiritual and physical needs of the residents and positively contribute to their quality of life.Develop and run varied programs for residents, including small discussion-based groups, creative and active groups, as well as powerpoint presentations for large groups on cultural, historical, science-related, arts-related, or otherwise relevant and interesting topics for the attendees.Plan cultural and social outings and serve as a chaperoneSupport and host programs offered by outside contributorsComplete assisted living dailies and monthly programming calendarSchedule outside vendors or contractors to provide a variety of quality programs including, but not limited to, lectures, concerts, dance performances, etc.Create advertisement flyers and submit invoices to finance department.Interact with residents, team members and colleagues in a positive, supportive way; build trusting relationships with them and accept responsibility for all tasks assigned.Be a self-starter, have the ability to prioritize, perform multiple tasks, anticipate needs, demonstrate initiative, and be skilled in community buildingAdvance the effort to create a meaningful, innovative, and vibrant best-in-class ALRCore CompetenciesCommit to the organization’s core values of respect, dignity and empowerment.Be available to build trusting relationships with the residents, team members and colleagues.Listen attentively; speak respectfully.
