Job summary

The State of Indiana is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Parent Locate Service (PLS) Unit within the Department of Child Services in Indianapolis. Responsibilities include locating absent parents, researching participant information, processing vehicle liens, and handling high-volume mail, calls, and title documents to support child support enforcement statewide.

This first‑shift role offers a 37.5-hour work week with flexible schedules and no overtime.

Role Overview:

The Program Coordinator for the Parent Locate Service (PLS) Unit helps ensure child support collections are processed accurately and that families receive financial support on time. I You will assist with locating absent parents, researching participant information, processing and releasing vehicle liens, and managing high‑volume mail, calls, and title documents. Your work directly supports statewide child support enforcement and the Vehicle Lien Project.

This is a first‑shift position working 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week). You may choose one of the following schedules. Each schedule includes a one‑hour lunch and two 15‑minute breaks. If you prefer a 30‑minute lunch, your shift end time is adjusted accordingly.

  • Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Monday - Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Overtime is not offered for this role. Flex time may be approved with prior supervisor arrangement.

This position is in the central DCS offices at the Indiana Government Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $34,216.00 per year, but may be commensurate with education or work experience. Use our Compensation Calculator to view the total compensation package.

A Day in the Life:
