Job summary

CW Resources is seeking a Program Coordinator - Food Service to oversee and support community-based nutrition programs for seniors and others. The role involves supervising Site Managers, coordinating routes and schedules, and ensuring program records and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in food service or program coordination, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to travel locally with a valid license. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2–4 years of experience in food service operations, program coordination, senior services, or related fields.
  • At least 2 years supervising staff, coordinating schedules, or overseeing daily operations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems.
  • Ability to travel locally between program sites and community locations; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Site Managers, including scheduling, performance management, training, hiring support, and leave approvals.
  • Coordinate driver routes and delivery schedules.
  • Train staff on food service, safety, customer service, and program procedures.
  • Manage participant enrollment and maintain accurate program records.
  • Assist individuals with enrollment in nutrition and senior service programs.
  • Conduct site visits, home visits, participant assessments, and program monitoring activities.
  • Collect and maintain meal service data and prepare required reports.
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and program regulations.
  • Coordinate payroll information for site management staff.
  • Collaborate with community partners and internal teams to support program operations.

What You'll Need to be Successful
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in food service operations, program coordination, senior services, community programs, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising staff, coordinating schedules, or overseeing daily operations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems.
  • Ability to travel locally between program sites and community locations.
  • Valid driver's license.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Nutrition, Social Services, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Experience using program management and participant tracking software (e.g., Serve-Tracker).
  • Experience utilizing grant management and reporting systems (e.g., Grantee Gateway).
  • Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or community-based service programs.
  • Knowledge of food service operations, food safety regulations, and program compliance requirements.

Physical & Environmental Demands
  • Environment: Work is performed in a combination of office settings, food service locations, community sites, and participant residences. Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures, kitchen environments, and general food service operations.
  • Travel: Regular local travel is required for site visits, program monitoring, participant assessments, meetings, and community outreach activities.
  • Driving: Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and travel between program sites, community locations, and participant residences as needed.
  • Mobility: Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and move between multiple work locations throughout the workday, including offices, kitchens, dining areas, and community-based facilities.
  • Reaching & Bending: Occasional reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing may be required when conducting site visits, reviewing facilities, or accessing records and supplies.
  • Lifting & Carrying: Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull program materials, office supplies, and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Visual Requirements: Must be able to read reports, spreadsheets, program documentation, and electronic communications, and inspect facilities for compliance and safety.
  • Computer Use: Frequent use of computers, telephones, and other office equipment requiring manual dexterity and prolonged periods of sitting, data entry, and document review.
  • Safety Awareness: Must adhere to all organizational, food safety, and workplace safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and professional work environment.
