Magna Powertrain is seeking a seasoned finance professional to support sales and program management by delivering accurate quotes and maintaining project financials. You will improve cost models, provide financial guidance, and analyze business cases for complex powertrain projects.

The role requires 5+ years in auto finance, advanced Excel, and willingness to travel. Knowledge of IATF standards and cross-functional collaboration will help drive budget decisions and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of automotive industry experience or equivalent.
• Financial background favored; cost accounting desired.
• Willing to travel as required.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support sales management and program management to deliver accurate quotes to customers.
• Execute financial quoting activities and support GPMS quote process.
• Maintain accuracy of program financials with regular updates and reports.
• Improve cost models and finance tools; ensure all costs are included.
• Provide financial advice to project teams and analyze business cases.
• Prepare cost breakdowns for customers to support negotiations.
• Generate monthly/quarterly reports to aid management decisions.
• Assist with pre-operational cost tracking and reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

Mission of the Position:

• Supports sales management as well as program management to deliver accurate, on time quotes to the customer while satisfying financial key figures for each project.
• Execute financial quoting activities and support the GPMS quote process.
• Maintain and ensure accuracy of program financials (lifetime view) through regular program updates and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Quoting process:

• Support the implementation of new processes, standards to support the Global Quoting Process from a financial perspective.
• Improve the quote cost models and other finance tools.
• Ensure all costs are accurate and included in the cost model.
• Support Sales with contracts regarding fixed cost clauses, financial terms, and conditions, etc.

Financial analysis and financial steering of projects:

• Generate financial analysis and sensitivity analysis of projects.
• Provide the project team with financial advice.
• Analysis of business cases.

Cost break-down & other financial information for customers:

• Support the program team in generating “Cost break downs” for the customer.
• Prepare financial information to support sales negotiation.

Preparation of data for the management:

• Generate monthly/quarterly reports for as needed by Management to enable right decisions. Support budget process

Preoperational cost tracking:

• Support pre-operational cost tracking and reporting.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required – Business / Finance and Related disciplines.
• Five (5) plus years’ experience in automotive industry or equivalent.
• Financial background favored.
• Cost Accounting desired
• Willingness to travel.
• Spanish and/or German language is an asset.
• Must have advanced Excel skills, be computer literate and have experience in Microsoft Office.
• Must have the ability to balance multiple tasks.

Work Environment:

• Office environment: 20% travel required.
• While working in this environment, the employee will be exposed to machinery, moving equipment and material, moderate noise, airborne particles, fumes and various levels of temperature created by manufacturing processes.
