Job summary

Denver Department of Public Health and Environment is seeking a Program Associate for Healthy Food for Denver’s Kids. The role focuses on developing accessible public communications, coordinating outreach, and supporting grantee activities with the HFDK Commission.

You will lead community engagement efforts, provide education and onboarding for commission members, and manage meeting logistics for bi-monthly public meetings and related events, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in public-facing communications or outreach.
• Ability to organize public events and meetings.
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement consistent, effective public-facing communications activities with the DDPHE Communications Team.
• Lead and administer strategic communications efforts to raise public awareness and showcase grantee accomplishments.
• Lead resident-facing community engagement for the program, coordinating tabling opportunities and public events.
• Provide education and training to the HFDK Commission and guide membership recruitment and engagement.
• Administer and advise on the HFDK program, including meeting logistics and coordination for meetings and events.
