Job summary

Volo Kids Foundation in New York is seeking a Part-Time Coordinator to support New Jersey-based youth sports programs and help grow the market. This role will center on program execution, volunteer coordination, fundraising support, and community outreach while collaborating with the program and outreach team.

You will balance on-site coaching at youth programs with office tasks, partner outreach, and event staffing. The position offers evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree; 1-3 years of professional experience.
  • Proven success in leading program strategies with tailoring and managing high-quality programs.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends (office and on-site coaching).
  • Can marshal resources effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with experience managing multiple projects across functional areas.

Responsibilities

  • Manage local program operations, logistics, and site-level coaching or leadership.
  • Build and maintain community and venue partnerships to expand program reach and brand awareness.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for local program centers and lead outreach events.
  • Collect and analyze season metrics to ensure program quality and continuous improvement.
  • Support recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and scheduling for part-time coaches and volunteers.
  • Support staff training, shadow shifts, ongoing development, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate recruitment fairs, training sessions, and staff appreciation events.
  • Gather and synthesize feedback from volunteers and staff to refine operations.
  • Support local fundraising activities and solicit corporate or in-kind donations.
  • Assist with grassroots marketing (postering, flyering, tabling, social media content capture/scheduling).
  • Support day-of league operations and logistics at fields, gyms, and events.
  • Work with staffing manager to help interview and onboard part-time staff.
  • Provide training for PT staff and conduct on-site evaluations.
  • Support grassroots outreach efforts, including tabling and community partner outreach.
  • Identify potential community partners and local venues.

Summary

Job Description

This role will support all main responsibilities of our New Jersey-based youth sports programs, while also building key partnerships to help us grow in the market. The person in this role will also support Volo New Jersey operations to ensure an integrated and cohesive market.


Schedule:

M-F 12 pm - 8 pm, ability to work some nights and weekends


Responsibilities

Program Execution & Market Growth

  • Support recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and scheduling for part-time coaches and volunteers.

  • Gather and synthesize feedback from volunteers and staff to refine operations.


Fundraising, Development & Operations


  • Support local fundraising activities and solicit corporate or in-kind donations.

  • Assist with grassroots marketing (postering, flyering, tabling, social media content capture/scheduling).

Volo Sports Operational Support


  • Basic social media scheduling and content-capturing abilities.

  • Day-of league onsite logistics at fields and gyms

  • Work with staffing manager to help interview and onboard part-time staff

  • Provide valuable training for PT staff

  • Execute on-site PT staff evaluations to ensure product excellence

  • Support grassroots outreach efforts, including postering, flyering, and tabling

  • Identify potential community partners and local venues


Qualifications

MUST-HAVES


  • BA or BS degree; minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience

  • Demonstrated success in leading program strategies with the ability to identify and respond to opportunities with tailoring, designing, and managing innovative, high-quality programs

  • Ability to work nights and weekends (hours will include time in the office and on-site coaching at programs)

  • Can marshal resources effectively and comfortably navigate a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with minimal supervision

  • Detail-oriented – you have experience managing multiple projects across functional areas and feel comfortable wearing many hats

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Basic social media scheduling and content-capturing abilities.

  • Dynamic personality interested in working in, and contributing to, a fun and active work environment - inside the office and out in the field!
