Job summary

Red Rock Audubon Society in Las Vegas is seeking an AmeriCorps member to serve as a Programs and Outreach Coordinator. In this role, you will engage youth and families through hands-on bird conservation programs in parks, community centers, and public events.

You'll help promote RRAS's bird-friendly community initiatives and support outreach and education efforts across the area, while working with volunteers and partners to grow programming and impact.

Qualifications

• Experience with community outreach and environmental education preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with youth and families.
• Willingness to collaborate with partners and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and adapt Audubon content for community outreach events and media.
• Collaborate with RRAS committees to enhance and diversify outreach.
• Represent RRAS as an ambassador at events and monthly meetings.
• Maintain relationships with current and new community partners.
• Support school programs, including STEM and Title 1 school outings.
• Lead activities at local parks, community centers, and youth facilities.
