Job summary

A community-focused organization in Spartanburg, SC is looking for a Part-time Program Specialist/Aid to supervise and implement activities for youth. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, with 6 months to 2 years of program experience. Key responsibilities include promoting safety and quality in programs and building positive relationships with youth. Bilingual skills in English/Spanish are preferred. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 2 PM to 6 PM, offering $15 an hour.

Classification Part-time; Monday-Friday between the hours of 2-6:00 pm; 3-4 hours a day; $15 an hour; August-May; summer hours vary at the following locations:

• Chesnee Elementary School

General Function:

Plan, implement, facilitate, and supervise activities and programs. Promote safety of members, quality of programs and appearance of the Club at all times. Program Specialist/Aid Subs will only report to work when needed to sites in their selected region.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Ability to deal effectively with staff, youth, parents, local community leaders, schools and churches
• Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of youth development.
• BI-LINGUAL IN ENGLISH/SPANISH A PLUS
• Understand the Clubs' philosophy, vision and goals
• Ability to establish and cultivate positive relationships with youth

Minimum Education and Experience:

High School Diploma/GED or college degree. 6 months to 2 years program delivery experience. (Hourly rate depends on level of education/experience)
