The successful candidate will also serve as Director of UTA's Center for Greater Southwestern Studies, fostering interdisciplinary research, public-facing scholarship, and engagement with the rich historical resources of the University and the Dallas-Fort Worth region.

The successful candidate will maintain a productive research agenda and serve as the Director of the Center for Greater Southwestern Studies, providing intellectual and administrative leadership for the Center's interdisciplinary research, public-facing scholarship, community engagement, and external funding initiatives. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor master's and doctoral research in Texas and Greater Southwestern history, contribute to curricular programs within the department and college, and participate in the departmental, university, and professional service. The Director will support the Center's existing programs and develop new initiatives, which may include digital humanities projects, collaborations with UTA Libraries Special Collections, partnerships with cultural and community organizations, and grant-funded research and programming.
