Job summary

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Communication or related field is required by appointment date.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in media arts and production, including film/video production, documentary storytelling, transmedia storytelling, and other emerging formats.
• Incorporate innovative approaches to storytelling and media technologies across audiovisual, interactive, immersive, AI-assisted, mobile, locative, social media, installation, and game-based media.
• Coordinate instructional staffing for media production courses and oversee the department’s media lab.
• Develop interdisciplinary collaborations to expand opportunities for creative scholarship and teaching.
• Build partnerships with media industries and community partners for experiential learning.

Education

Terminal degree (PhD, MFA, or equivalent) in Communication or related field
