This position emphasizes excellence in teaching and pedagogy in human physiology and disease, with focus areas in endocrinology and cardiovascular metabolic biology relevant to the pre-clerkship curriculum and graduate programs.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Ph.D., M.D., Pharm D., or equivalent degree and qualify for professor of teaching at the University of California.
• Candidates seeking joint clinical appointments must possess an M.D., or equivalent degree and be eligible to practice in the State of California. These candidates must be board certified or board eligible.
• Preference will be given to candidates with research experience and scholarship in human physiology, human disease, biomedical research or pedagogy of medical pre-clerkship curriculum

Responsibilities

• Teach in the medical curriculum and actively participate in the Biomedical Sciences graduate program.
• Advance curriculum development and educational research; contribute to teaching pedagogy and medical education research.
• Collaborate across divisions and consider joint appointments in SOM Division of Clinical Sciences
