The McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering at The University ofTexas Austin is seeking to fill a senior faculty position, with afocus on industry-relevant research and teaching for reactionand/or separation processes and technologies at scale. Researchfocused on related machine learning and computational approaches,as well as modern high throughput experimentation platforms wouldalso be well received. The ideal candidate will be a visionaryleader who can bring together collaborative teams from academia andindustry, advancing translational research that utilizes theUniversity's recent multi-million-dollar pilot-scale investments atthe Process Science and Technology Center.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in chemical engineering or a closelyrelated discipline with a record in academic research andexperience with industry-academia partnerships. Appointments willbe at the Associate/Full Professor, with tenure considered based onqualifications.

Successful candidates are expected to mentor graduate students,teach our diverse undergraduate and graduate student populations,sustain a vibrant externally sponsored research program,collaborate with other faculty from a wide range of backgrounds,and be involved in service to the university and profession.
