Qualifications

• Earned Ph.D. or Ed.D. in education.
• Experience teaching courses in person and online, synchronous and asynchronously.
• Proven accomplishment in designing pedagogy and curriculum to meet the needs of adult learners.
• Evidence of engaging in transformative leadership practice grounded in scholarship and varied PK-12 contexts.
• Demonstrated capacity for implementing asset-based approaches through supervision, advising, mentoring, coaching, or other professional growth opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to represent the University and build collaborative relationships/partnerships with local and state-wide districts, and state and national organizations.

Responsibilities

• Experience as an educational leader in PK-12 settings.
• Demonstrate experience and capacity to engage in leadership practice that is responsive to varied educational contexts and grounded in social justice theory and research.
• Responsibilities include designing and teaching graduate-level courses, both in-person and online, synchronously and asynchronously, focused on educational leadership based on current theory and practice.
• The candidate must be prepared to engage in teaching, mentoring, and advising graduate students using asset-based approaches that affirm the strengths and lived experiences of varied communities and the value of professional knowledge, while centering transformational change and leadership.
• Relatedly, the candidate must demonstrate a willingness to advise master's and doctoral students through programs of study, as well as through the design, development, and execution of capstone and dissertation research.
• Occasionally, this individual will represent the University at meetings and in partnerships with local and statewide districts, as well as with state and national organizations, to present relevant students, program, and department information and outcomes.
