Qualifications

• Master's degree in civil engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• At least 3 years of university teaching in an ABET-accredited program, or 5 years of professional civil engineering experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to mentor and advise undergraduate students.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate civil engineering courses across multiple sub-disciplines at the Brownsville campus.
• Provide academic advising and student mentoring; support outreach and recruitment efforts.
• Build partnerships with local schools, community colleges, and industry leaders.
• Support campus expansion of the four-year ABET-accredited program in Brownsville.
