The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine atthe University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate orFull Professor position in the tenure track. Expertise is requiredin the specific area of mechanisms underpinning substance use andthe treatment of substance use and misuse. Applicants withexperience in novel therapeutics (e.g., psychedelics, incretinmimetics) in the treatment of substance use disorders areencouraged to apply. Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D degree.Board certification in Psychiatry is required.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students,psychiatry residents, and postdoctoral fellows, as well as lectureopportunities within the department.

Clinical responsibilities may include clinical evaluation andprovision of treatment for adults with substance usedisorders.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developingcollaborative and independent research programs related to theunderstanding and treatment of substance use disorders. Scholarshipincludes developing and maintaining a program of federally fundedresearch.
