The Department of Statistics and Data Science (SDS) at TheUniversity of Texas at Austin invites applications forprofessional-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant,Associate, or Full Professor of Instruction. SDS is the newest andfastest growing department in the College of Natural Sciences andis dedicated to delivering high-quality, innovative education instatistics and data science across the university. Our programsinclude an undergraduate major and minor in Statistics and DataScience, an M.S. and Ph.D. in Statistics, an undergraduatecertificate in Applied Statistical Modeling, and an online M.S. inData Science offered in collaboration with the Department ofComputer Science. SDS is internationally recognized for excellencein statistical methodology and theory, applied statistics, datascience, biostatistics, and machine learning.

The department currently has 25 tenured/tenure-track and 10professional-track faculty members. While professional-trackfaculty are not eligible for tenure, we hire with the intent thatall new faculty will build lasting careers as part of ourcommunity. The department is committed to investing in theprofessional growth of all of our faculty.
