Job summary

UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics in Pittsburgh is seeking a Part-Time Professional Staff Nurse, OP to support the RIDC and Natrona Heights offices. Weekend availability is required to align with our hours of operation, and pediatric experience is preferred.

You will collaborate with physicians and care teams to deliver high-quality pediatric care, manage patient activities, and educate patients and families. A sign-on bonus is available where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months RN experience preferred; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in PA or NLC; licensure must be active.
• BLS or CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
• UPMC national certification preferred; Act 31/33/34/73 compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care and patient teaching.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams for care plans.
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately.

• UPMC approved national certification preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• Current RN licensure in the state or multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Graduate nurses must complete licensure examination within six months of hire.
• Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73.

*Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
