Job description

We Are

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are

You are a customer-focused engineering professional who combines deep expertise in structural mechanics, finite element analysis, and simulation automation with the communication and consulting skills to solve complex customer challenges. You can translate technical needs into practical strategies, lead workshops and engagements with engineering and executive stakeholders, and apply Python-based automation and modern simulation methods to accelerate insight and product development. As a trusted advisor and collaborative partner, you are motivated by delivering measurable customer value, expanding adoption, strengthening technical partnerships, and building capabilities that continue beyond each engagement.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead customer-facing consulting engagements from scoping through delivery, owning the technical strategy and execution for simulation workflow
  • Develop Statements of Work and services proposals that reflect real customer needs with clear strategy and technical scope
  • Run workshops and technical sessions with customer engineering teams to diagnose workflow gaps, build best practices, and define a future-state vision using Synopsys simulation and analysis tools
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues across multi-physics simulation environments, working hands-on to resolve blockers that impact customer timelines and adoption
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to translate customer feedback into actionable product insights and service offerings that address real market gaps
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with customer stakeholders, serving as the technical voice that bridges engineering teams and business decision-makers
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the development of repeatable methodologies, frameworks, and enablement materials that scale across the consulting organization
The Impact You Will Have
  • Drive measurable improvements in customer simulation workflows, reducing time-to-insight and enabling faster product development cycles for customers building next-generation systems
  • Increase adoption and utilization of Synopsys tools within customer organizations by delivering engagements that prove value and build internal champions
  • Shape the roadmap for Synopsys Professional Services offerings by surfacing customer needs, technical gaps, and emerging use cases from the field
  • Strengthen customer retention and expansion by delivering high-satisfaction consulting engagements that demonstrate clear ROI and deepen technical partnerships
  • Build organizational capability within customer teams through workshops, mentoring, and knowledge transfer that outlasts the engagement itself
  • Influence product development priorities by bringing real-world customer feedback and use cases directly to Synopsys engineering and product teams
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related technical discipline
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in engineering simulation, process optimization, or technical consulting roles working directly with customers or internal engineering teams
  • Deep knowledge of nonlinear solids and structural mechanics, structural dynamics, finite element analysis and related numerical methods
  • Hands on experience with finite element analysis products (e.g Ansys Mechanical, Ansys LS-Dyna, Abaqus, NASTRAN etc) and associated modeling procedures
  • Direct experience with python based workflow automation using product APIs and general python libraries
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to both engineering teams and executive stakeholders, experience leading workshops or training sessions is a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% for customer engagements, workshops, and onsite consulting delivery
Preferred Experience (one or more of the following)
  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related technical discipline
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in engineering simulation, process optimization, or technical consulting roles working directly with customers or internal engineering teams
  • Demonstrated execution of multi-physics simulation workflows, design variation and optimization
  • Experience with end-to-end automation of simulation procedures and custom applications to enable faster engineering insights
  • Experience with application of AI/ML in engineering design and simulation contexts
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in production environments
