Job summary

SMX is seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Financials Business Analyst to bridge business needs with technology solutions across the Oracle Cloud Financials suite. The role supports Newtown, PA, Herndon, VA, or Boston, MA offices with travel, in a hybrid environment.

You will analyze requirements, map solutions, and drive efficient, compliant finance processes. Required: 3+ years in Oracle Fusion/Cloud Financials as a BA, hands-on module experience (GL, AP, AR, FA), and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, IT or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with Oracle Fusion/Cloud Financials.
• Hands-on implementation or support experience with Oracle Fusion modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM).
• Knowledge of finance processes, reporting and Oracle tools.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Financials Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, specializing in the Oracle Fusion Financials suite. This individual will analyze business requirements, drive innovative solutions, and support robust and scalable finance processes leveraging Oracle Cloud applications. This is a hybrid role supporting our Newtown, PA, Herndon, VA, or Boston, MA office and requires travel.

Essential Duties:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document financial process and system requirements.
• Design, implement, and enhance Oracle Fusion Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, etc.).
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and work closely with technical teams for solution delivery.
• Lead or participate in Fit-Gap analysis, workshops, and solution mapping.
• Develop and execute test strategies, test scripts, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting for Oracle Fusion Financials modules.
• Deliver training and knowledge transfer to users and support teams.
• Identify areas for process improvement and recommend best practices.
• Ensure optimal system performance and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst working with Oracle Fusion/Cloud Financials.
• Hands-on implementation and/or support experience with Oracle Fusion Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, etc.).
• Strong understanding of finance business processes, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
• Experience gathering business requirements, creating functional documents, and mapping solutions.
• Proficient in Oracle reporting tools (OTBI, FRS).
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Oracle Cloud Financials Certification(s).
• Experience with integrations and data migration in Oracle Cloud applications.
• Experience in managing or participating in large-scale Oracle Cloud ERP implementations.
• Experience supporting multi-entity/global rollouts.
• Exposure to other Oracle Cloud modules (Procurement, Inventory, Projects, etc.).
• Prior experience in Public Sector or Financial Services.

The proposed salary for this position is:

$87,600—$130,000 USD
