Job summary

Pearland ISD is seeking a School Bus Driver to transport students safely to and from school and on extracurricular trips. You will operate a school bus, follow routes, and supervise students during transit.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, valid Texas CDL Class B with endorsements, DPS certification, and the ability to pass physical, mental, and drug/alcohol screenings. 178 work days, pay grade 401.

Qualifications

Requires High School Diploma or GED.
Valid Class B Texas CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements.
Current Texas DPS School Bus Driver Certification.
Must be 18 years of age.
Must pass annual physical and mental examinations as required by Texas DPS.
Must pass pre-employment and periodic drug and alcohol screening as required by federal law.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, orderly, and efficient transportation of students to and from school and on extracurricular trips.
Operate school bus to transport students and ensure safety.
Follow district routes and schedules.
Maintain discipline and supervise students during transit.
Complete pre-trip inspections and report maintenance issues.
