Job summary

Danch Harner is seeking an experienced Planner to review and coordinate a variety of planning and development applications, including variances, subdivisions, rezonings, site plans, and conditional uses. Responsibilities

• Review zoning, variance, subdivision, rezon­ing, site-plan, conditional-use, and other land-use applications for regulatory compliance.
• Prepare staff reports, findings, recommendations, conditions, agendas, exhibits, and meeting materials.
• Research zoning, land-use history, ordinances, development regulations, and comprehensive plans.
• Review plats, site plans, surveys, and technical development documents.
• Coordinate reviews with municipal departments, engineers, surveyors, attorneys, developers, and consultants.
• Communicate with applicants and property owners regarding requirements, revisions, and approval processes.
• Present applications at Plan Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, Council, and public meetings.
• Conduct site visits and assist with public hearings and planning projects.
• Support comprehensive planning, zoning updates, subdivision regulations, and development standards.
• Prepare GIS maps, exhibits, and graphics; maintain project files and track deadlines.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Perform other planning and related duties as assigned.
