Job description

Our growing moving company is looking for strong and professional movers to join our team. You’ll follow the manager's work orders and customer requests to safely load, transport, and unload a variety of items for our residential and commercial clients. Responsibilities:

1. Organize moving truck with items to be transported
2. Review work orders and communicate with client on moving preferences
3. Certify there are no items missing with client and team members before leaving
4. Lift a variety of fragile, large, and heavy items without damaging them
5. Cover furniture in protective material to keep items safe
6. Ability to pad and wrap furniture
7. Be customer-focused on every job
8. Enjoy being a part of a team
9. Ability to follow company operational and safety procedures
10. Professional attitude and communication with all customers and teammates
11. Ability to lift and carry heavy items repeatedly (100+ lbs)
12. Ability to climb stairs, maintain balance, and walk long distances while carrying items

Qualifications:

1. Reliable, collaborative, excellent communication and customer service skills are a must
2. Graduated high school, received GED or equivalent
3. Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
4. Must have reliable transportation
5. Must be eligible to work in the United States
6. General labor experience is preferred, but not required (Move Indy will provide paid training)
7. Must be 18+

Compensation:

$17 - $20 hourly
