We advance public safety and consumer protection through licensing, regulation, and education, and collect over $3 billion in revenue. Our Business and Professions Division (BPD) oversees licensing and regulatory activities for 34 professions and 143 license types (business and individuals) and administers the Prorate and Fuel Tax program, as well as providing oversight of Combative Sports events, managing Uniform Commercial Code filings, Performing Rights Society registrations, and maintaining the Firearms database for law enforcement.
As a Professional Licensing Representative, you will manage a compliance caseload, carrying out disciplinary actions involving unlicensed practice, and violations of state laws and rules. You will track the timeliness and execution of disciplinary actions and fulfillment of sanctions while protecting due process. You will use strong legal writing skills and have exceptional attention to detail to draft complex legal documents. You will effectively communicate with respondents, licensees, staff, and the public about adjudicative proceedings, options for settlement, and agency policies and procedures.
Up to two (2) years of relevant education may substitute year for year for experience.
