The candidate should have strong litigation skills, solid judgment, and the ability to manage cases from inception through resolution, with 2–10 years of relevant experience and an active Michigan license.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Michigan.
• 2–10 years of litigation experience preferred, including General Liability, Professional Liability, Insurance Coverage, Commercial Litigation, and Corporate Transaction.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of professional liability litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
• Represent clients in complex malpractice and negligence matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft persuasive legal briefs and motions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Develop litigation strategy and case evaluations.
• Manage caseload independently while collaborating with partners and litigation teams.
• Participate in business development and client relationship initiatives.
