Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Project Manager / Professional Land Surveyor (PLS or SIT) licensed in Pennsylvania, Ohio, or West Virginia to lead complex transportation and land surveying projects in the Pittsburgh area. The role requires strong technical surveying expertise, AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency, and experience managing PennDOT, Turnpike, or other DOT-related projects.

You will oversee proposals through completion, manage client relationships, supervise staff, and ensure quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Mapping, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Pennsylvania, Ohio, or West Virginia (Pennsylvania ).
• 5–10+ years of progressive land surveying experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple surveying projects simultaneously.
• Strong field and office surveying experience.
• Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and modern survey processing software.

Responsibilities

• Manage transportation, boundary, topographic, and right-of-way survey projects from inception through completion.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring exceptional service.
• Lead, mentor, and develop survey field and office personnel.
• Prepare, review, and seal survey plats, right-of-way plans, and related deliverables.
• Establish property boundaries, easements, and rights-of-way through deed research and title interpretation.
• Coordinate project schedules, staffing, budgets, and quality control.
• Ensure compliance with PennDOT, Turnpike, and applicable state and local standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, utility owners, municipalities, and project stakeholders.

Project Manager – Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)

Position Summary

MBE is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Professional Land Surveyor (PLS or SIT) licensed in Pennsylvania, Ohio, or West Virginia to lead complex transportation and land surveying projects. This position requires a strong technical background in surveying, proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, and extensive experience managing PennDOT, Turnpike, or other DOT-related projects.

The successful candidate will oversee projects from proposal through completion, manage client relationships, supervise technical staff, ensure quality control, monitor budgets and schedules, establish property boundaries and rights-of-way, and prepare and seal survey deliverables.

• Knowledge of PennDOT Digital Delivery and transportation design standards.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
