The ideal candidate holds a PLS license in WV and has related two-year education, with strong field surveying and data collection skills. Qualifications

• Must hold a PLS license in WV or be actively pursuing licensure in WV.
• Demonstrated knowledge of surveying ethics and technical standards.
• Strong ability to coordinate field surveys and collect data accurately.
• Proficiency in math reading and writing required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all corporate and job site safety procedures.
• Ensure accuracy of all survey activities on all projects.
• Perform field survey activities in accordance with procedures and state standards.
• Prepare survey documents, drawings, and reports per standards.
• Collaborate with senior staff to schedule and coordinate field work.
• Supervise equipment use, sketches, notes, and data collection.
• Coordinate repair, maintenance, and inventory of survey vehicles/equipment.
• Represent Triad in a professional and ethical manner.
• Interact with clients and contractors professionally.
• Communicate effectively with project staff regarding projects.

The preferred candidate will possess:

• PLS (Professional Licensed Surveyor) in the State of WV is required
• PLS (Professional Licensed Surveyor) in surrounding states preferred

Additional Qualifications

• Related two-year degree required
• Valid driver's license
• Current clean driving record & ability to maintain a clean driving record
• Must possess advanced reading, writing, and math skills
• Must possess intermediate to advanced computer skills
• Available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments

Primary Duties

• Follow all corporate and job site safety procedures
• Knowledgeable in surveying ethics and technical standards
• Ensure accuracy of all survey activities on all projects
• Ensure that field survey activities are performed in accordance with standard procedures, standards set by applicable state statutes, and the ACSM
• Accurately maintain records; prepare survey documents, drawings, and reports in accordance with applicable standards
• Collaborate with senior staff in scheduling and coordinating field survey work
• Supervise use of equipment, preparation of sketches and notes, and electronic data collection
• Coordinate the repair, maintenance, and inventory of survey vehicles and equipment
• Represent Triad in a professional and ethical manner
• Interact with job site personnel (clients) in a professional manner
• Effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and professional office staff regarding projects

Physical Demands

Work is performed both in the office and in the field, which may include all weather conditions, often on busy streets or construction sites. Involves extensive standing and walking, and includes clearing brush, working in difficult terrain, manholes and on difficult slopes. May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 50 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear and frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
