Job summary

Horrocks in Phoenix seeks a Professional Engineer for Roadway to lead the design and analysis of freeways, interchanges, and shared-use roadways. You will own projects from start to finish, with emphasis on quality and schedule.

The role requires 5–10 years in roadway transportation, PE license or plan to obtain within a year, and proficiency with Bentley/Autodesk tools. Growth toward PM and technical specialization is supported.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering license in state of employment or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
  • 5–10 years of experience in roadway transportation engineering.
  • Experience working on multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Solid background in AASHTO roadway geometric design criteria.
  • Proficiency using Bentley and/or Autodesk civil design software.
  • Knowledge of DOT standards and plan preparation procedures.
  • Drainage design and/or traffic engineering experience is a plus.
  • Solid written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project assignment.

Compensation: $105,000 - $150,000 / year

Key Responsibilities
