Job summary

Chloeta is seeking a highly skilled Professional Engineer (PE) to provide technical leadership and professional engineering services across diverse projects. The PE will oversee planning, design, analysis, and implementation, ensuring compliance with codes and client standards in a remote/virtual setting.

The role requires at least three years of professional experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, and preferably a PE license.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget objectives are met.
• Prepares, reviews, and approves engineering plans, specifications, drawings, and technical reports.
• Ensures all designs and deliverables comply with applicable codes, regulations, and professional standards.
• Provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, technicians, and project staff.
• Conducts site visits, inspections, and assessments to support engineering analyses and project execution.
• Collaborates with clients, stakeholders, and multi-disciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions.
• Reviews contractor submittals, respond to RFIs, and provide construction-phase engineering support.
• Prepares cost estimates, proposals, and technical documentation for projects.

The Professional Engineer will be responsible for overseeing project planning, design, analysis, and implementation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as client and company standards.

Duties/Responsibilities

Required Skills/Abilities

• Proficiency in engineering design software, modeling tools, and related technologies

• Knowledge of sustainable design practices and green building standards is a plus

• Strong mathematical skills for engineering calculations and cost estimations

• Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other mapping tools

Education and Experience

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

• Required: Minimum of Three (3) years of professional engineering experience.

• Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
