POSITION SUMMARY

The Professional Development Coordinator is responsible for strengthening workforce development and ensuring quality service delivery by overseeing employee training, mentorship, and quality assurance initiatives. This role ensures staff are equipped to deliver high-quality services through the coordination of apprenticeship programming, certification-based training, ongoing coaching, and monitoring of service quality standards. The Professional Development Coordinator partners with leadership to support employee growth, improve outcomes, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead apprenticeship and staff development efforts by overseeing the successful implementation of the apprenticeship program through mentorship, structured follow-up, and employee engagement. Strengthen staff competency by meeting with employees to provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development support. This may require working hours outside of the Monday-Friday schedule, such as weekends or evenings, to meet with employees on their scheduled shift to provide those supports and trainings. Ensuring compliance with training requirements by obtaining and maintaining MANDT certification, conducting MANDT trainings, obtaining TOOLs certification, and facilitating TOOLs trainings.
  • Support documentation, training, and service delivery systems by entering and maintaining Value Base Per Payment (VBP) and REDCap data in alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements. Improving service delivery outcomes by serving as the Tiered Supports lead and guiding staff through intervention strategies and de-escalation processes. Developing leadership capacity by serving as the supervisor trainer and supporting supervisor onboarding and development, such as training on scheduling, filing, documentation, staff meetings, Tiered Supports supervisor training, and on-call training. Enhancing efficiency and service delivery by coordinating technology setup for remote supports and supporting staff in effective usage. Supporting positive behavioral outcomes by assisting with problem-solving for undesirable behaviors in collaboration with Tiered Supports.
  • Promote service quality and compliance by conducting quality assurance reviews, identifying gaps, and providing corrective coaching and training. Monitoring adherence to policies, documentation standards, and program expectations to ensure consistent, high-quality services are delivered. Reporting to the Director of Community Living on any concerns. Collaborating with leadership to identify trends, training needs, and quality improvement opportunities across programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Associate's degree and 2 years of experience in training, staff development, and/or quality assurance. Or experience in place of education.
SHIFT

FT (40 hrs/week) Mon-Fri: 8-5pm
