Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a diligent Driver / Operator to deliver and pick up packages in a courteous, efficient manner. You will check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards and assist customers as needed.

A high school diploma or GED is required, with a valid vehicle license for the assigned type. Applicants must be 21 or older, able to lift 50 lbs, and pass FMCSA medical exams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance since customer contact is required.
• Must meet FMCSA section 391 qualifications. Medical exam FMCSA/FAA.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and directions.

Responsibilities

• Driver / operator of company vehicles. Delivers and picks up packages with courtesy and efficiency.
• Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service features and quality standards.
• Provides related customer service functions as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
