Job summary

Acadiana Area Human Services District seeks a Professional Counselor to deliver direct client care with evidence-based therapies at the Tyler Behavioral Health Clinic in Lafayette, LA. The role requires a Louisiana LPC or LMFT license and at least two years of licensed counseling experience.

The position offers a Monday–Friday, 40-hour schedule in a NHSC-approved site with potential loan repayment. Responsibilities include individual, group and family therapy, screening and crisis intervention,

We are looking for a Professional Counselor in our Tyler Behavioral Health Clinic with experience working with individuals with emotional, behavioral, addictive and/or co-occurring disorders. This position will provide direct client care to provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions via individual, group and family therapy

Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) plus two years of licensed counseling experience.

Job Duties:

• Provide direct client care to provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions via individual, group and family therapy; completing all documentation within established timelines and submitting therapy notes into an EHR (Electronic Health Record) system.
• Provide screening, triage and referral services for clients seeing clinical treatment, conducts emergency evaluations, and/or facilitates hospitalization when clinically indicated using CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) techniques when necessary.
• Work in accordance with the laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of all applicable licensing/governmental agencies, accreditation bodies, and within the guidelines set by the Acadiana Area Human Services District.
