Qualifications

• 2–5 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License per assigned vehicle type required.
• Successful completion of a road test required.
• Ability to meet company insurability standards required.
• Ability to meet Federal regulations including MVR criteria.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles to deliver or pick up merchandise, materials, and equipment to assigned destination and/or customers in a timely fashion.
• Follow safety procedures for transporting goods including securing cargo (tarps may be used).
• Safely maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety equipment is in good order.
• Log daily activities using an electronic logging device as required by FMCSA.
• Report traffic incidents, accidents, violations, or vehicle damage to supervision.
• Read bills of lading and manifests to determine assignment details.
• Verify all load-related documentation and obtain signatures for delivered goods.
• Stage dunnage and organize excess materials to maintain efficiency and safety.
• Assist loading shift when trucks aren’t ready, improving workflow and allowing drivers to depart on time.
• Adhere to safety processes and protocols.
